Chord Diagrams
Chord diagrams are visual diagrams that show a focused area of the guitar fretboard.
On the fretboard the vertical lines represents all the guitar strings with the lowest pitch string being positioned on the left side and the the highest pitch string positioned on the right side.
The horizontal lines are the fret dividers.
The dots on the fretboard represent what notes are to be played and its position. The coloured dot indicates the root note within the chord.
Open strings and strings not to be played (and sounded) are located at the top of the fretboard represented by naughts and crosses. Open strings are labelled with a naught (0) and strings not to produce a sound are labelled with a cross (X).
Fretting fingerings are located at the bottom of the fretboard and provide suggested fingers to use when playing the chord.
