    Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from the class structure and content?

Circle of Guitars Group classes are carefully designed to offer a comprehensive and engaging experience, combining theory and practical application. Each session includes a brief introduction to the day's topic, interactive exercises, and practical guitar playing

We also utilize SongShelf, a website specifically designed for Circle of Guitars group classes, to learn new songs and enhance our guitar playing skills. We practice both new and previously learned songs to reinforce our skills, focusing on chords, strumming patterns, and timing specific to each song. This approach ensures that everyone in the group plays comfortably and confidently, and leaves students excited and ready for the next lesson.

What skill level do I need to be to join?

Lessons are catered to beginners*, intermediates, and advanced players, with various levels of classes to match your skill level and ensure a comfortable learning environment.

*Please note as group classes consist of mixed playing levels, this setting may be intimidating for a complete beginner with no experience. It is generally encouraged and recommended for students that are completely new to the guitar to either book a few private guitar lessons or learn from a reliable online resource to help get you up to speed with some of the guitar basics. If you have any questions or need advice on where to start feel free to contact Daniel.

How often are the group lessons held?
Group lessons are typically held twice a week, with the aim to provide a consistent and regular learning experience.
How do I know if group lessons are right for me?
Group lessons offer a collaborative and social learning environment. They're ideal if you enjoy interacting with others, want to learn from peers, and prefer a dynamic and engaging learning experience. If you prefer a more individualised approach or intimate group setting, feel free to take a look at the Private Guitar Lessons page.
