Strings and Fingers

Strings can be identified by either its note name or number.

Reminder

Always start the string count from the high E string.

1. E (High Pitch)
2. B
3. G
4. D
5. A
6. E (Low Pitch)

Finger Numbers

Below we see how fingers are labelled. This labelling applies to both the fretting and picking/strumming hand.

1. T = Thumb
2. 1 = Index Finger
3. 2 = Middle Finger
4. 3 = Ring Finger
5. 4 = Pinky
